Rhyming Rhymes

I've never kissed a mushroom

I don't think that I'd know how.

It's not that I don't like them much

But, I don't want to do it now!

I'd rather kiss a fluffy cat,

Or rub a poodle's tum

I'd even kiss a lion's nose,

When he's basking in the sun.

A mushrooms not my thing, you see.

Because it seems absurd,

To kiss a thing that has no lips

And cannot say a word.

​

Perhaps it talks uncommonly

And needs my kindly kiss.

I'll try new things just because

New things you can't dismiss.

​

I[I'm told it's best to eat the shroom.

That's what it's here to be;

A side dish for the most of us.

Of course, they don't know me.

​

So, I think I'll kiss the thing,

That needs for me to see

That even though it has no fur,

It's cute as it can be.
